1. Springs Beach (Red Rock)*
*This beach is open to dogs on a leash from April - Nov.
Spring's Beach (Red Rock) has to be one of the most stunning deserted beaches on the East Coast of Australia in our opinion! Located a short drive from Gibson's Pet Friendly Accommodation in Agnes Water, Springs Beach should be at the top of your list to visit while you are holidaying (or living) in Agnes Water & 1770. The beach is also a favorite amongst the Turtles during Nov (when they come to lay) and April (when the babies hatch).
Good for
Walking, fishing, swimming & surfing
Tips
Beach is not patrolled, so be careful
Directions
Drive along Spring's Road for a few k's and just opposite the Paperbark Forest Walk is a dirt track (recently signposted as Red Rock just to confuse everyone). Turn left here and follow the dirt road for a few hundred metres and park your car. Follow the timber boardwalk down towards Spring's Beach.
2. Agnes Water Main Beach - Surf Club Avenue Access
Agnes Water Main Beach boasts 7 km of uninterrupted beach, perfect for a long walk, a refreshing swim or a lay in the sun. This beach is located within walking distance from Kira Kira and Townhouse 1 & 3. To access the Dog Friendly off lead beaches of Agnes, head to Surf Club Avenue, just north of Lagoons Resort. Council specifies that any beaches north of Surf Club Avenue Beach Marker - SS1 is "off lead" - see HERE. Be sure to read the entry signs to the beach to ensure the beach you are going to is Dog Friendly and if it is on or off lead.
Good for
Long walks, fishing, swimming & surfing
Tips

Directions
Explore accesses along Captain Cook Dr. This is within driving distance from Gibson's Pet Friendly Accommodation.
3. Workman's Beach - Springs Rd
Workman's Beach is a beautiful large sheltered cove, hidden away from the crowds and within an easy walking distance from Gibson's Pet Friendly Holiday Accommodation. Bring a BBQ picnic to enjoy at the park, then take the 4 min walk down through the bushy track lined with cabbage palms, down the secluded beach. Set up under the shade of the Casuarina trees for an extended stay! On low tide the shelf rock becomes exposed, providing a great area for kids to explore and toddlers to wallow in the edge pools.
Good for
BBQ, Picnic, fishing, swimming, surfing & Supping.
Tips
Beach is not patrolled, so be careful
Directions
Turn off Springs Road on to a dirt road, opposite the Skate Park. This is within walking distance from Gibson's Pet Friendly Accommodation.
4. Chinaman's Beach*
*This beach is open to dogs on a leash from April - Nov.
Chinaman's Beach is a favorite amongst the locals as it is a lovely secluded beach that is great for walking, fishing and exploring the shelf rock pools at low tide. Swimming is great when the swell and wind are low, at times the waves can be “dumpy” as the beach is steep, so swimming during these times in not recommended. However the beach is great for exploring - if you turn left at the entry of the beach it will take you along numerous little coves to discover.
Good for
Rockpool exploring, picnic, fishing, walking
Tips
Beach is not patrolled, so be careful
Directions
1.3km's from the Visitor Information Centre on Springs Rd, turn left and follow the road to the small car park at the beach.
5. 1770 Foreshore
There are 2 parks at 1770 - Endeavour Park and Air Sea Rescue Park. Both parks are “Dog on Leash” friendly and a 10 minute drive from Gibson’s Pet Friendly Accommodation. 1770 Foreshore is the favorite for families as the foreshore parks provide great green grassy areas to picnic, along with playgrounds, BBQ’s and toilets. The beach is calm and safe for small children. It is also the best place to watch the sunset! 1770 Foreshore is also the home to 1770 Liquid Adventures if you wish to hire a Kayak - or partake in one of their great tours. You can also hire a SUP board to explore the area!
Good for
Walking, swimming (at high tide) walking, BBQ’s, sunsets, exploring, fishing
Tips
Check the tides before you visit - High Tide is best for pictures and swimming! To check the tides > go here. Be careful of currents in outgoing or incoming tides.
Directions
From Gibson’s Accommodation - turn left onto Springs Rd, then right at the Service Station on to Captain Cook Drive. Follow Captain Cook Drive for about 7 km's until you see the 1770 Marina, continue on for another 100m and you will see the park just after the sharp bend.
